Testimonials

Let's be proud of what we do in social care, let's share the good things that happen and let's remind people to Believe in Good Care.

Lovely home.  Mr H is very well presented - staff helpful.

Mum really enjoyed her time at Maumbury.  It is a lovely home and I am sure you will resolve the current CQC snapshot.

Thank you all for making A's last years so peaceful.

You're all wonderful.

Staff veryhelpful and joined in.

To all the care staff - words cannot express my and my family's appreciation of your kindness to N.  No one could have cared for N better than you.

Staff very helpfulNever been so welcome. All information read and clear.  Very happy with Rochester Care Home.

Thank you so much for accommodating K yesterday at such short notice.

We wish to thank you very much for the excellent care you gave to J and for your kindness to her over the last year. She couldn’t have had a better home to spend her last days in.  Thanks for all the cups of coffee you supplied me with.

I have nothing but praise for how well and lovingly M was looked after whilst in your loving care.

We can't thank you enough for your care of mum over the years.

Unannounced visit but accommodated without complaint and staff were able to give clear information about the patient.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thank you for making mum's 102nd birthday so special.

We would like to express our grateful thanks for the support and great care we have received.

It has been a very difficult week for us all, including the staff at Chalgrove, whom I cannot thank enough for their care over the last 12 months of mum's life.  I would like to come in and thank them all but I don't think that I have the strength to cope with this at the moment.  Please, please can you thank all of them for their kindness, their patience and their care of my mum.  She was my friend and a big part of my life and I loved to visit her and take her out for walks.  They never complained when I was there wandering around with the dogs and asking to borrow a wheelchair for mum.  You have a really good team and should be very proud of them.

My friend is very, very well cared for.  I wanted to write and tell you it really is a lovely home.  It is spotlessly clean and there are no nasty smells lingering, which to me, as an ex-carer, is very important and, as an ex-carer, I can see how dedicated the staff are who work there.

Just to say a massive thank you to you all for everything that you did for dad while he was with you. You are all stars!

Thank you all at Rochester Care Home for the care and kindness you showed to our mum.  She was very lucky to be so well looked after.  Your staff have been very supportive and we were made to feel very welcome on our visits.

All the staff at Maumbury - a very big thank you for the care you gave mum.  You always made us welcome and it was good to see how happy and well mum looked.  Thank you.

Very pleased with the care being given to JH.  You have avoided pressure areas.  He is being well supported and receiving excellent care. (Resident is receiving palliative care and is bed bound.)

To all my dear friends at Maumbury - thank you for looking after my A for me.  He joined you on Christmas Eve last year.  We met you as strangers but you soon became family!  Thank you for all the support you gave me and the hugs.  So glad A was there with you all at the end.  Love you all - you do a great job!

Deborah was very helpful in patient identification and interacted well with all patients and staff.

These are from CW's wife for all the care and support you provided him during his time at Maumbury.  She wanted to let you all know that you couldn’t have done more for M and was so happy with the care. She read the article on Thursday and completely disagrees, so wanted to bring these biscuits in for all the staff.

Excellent care, fantastic staff.

You've been an amazing 'work family'.  Thank you for all of the support and guidance.

Many thanks for all the kindness, love and attention that you showed to mum in the months she lived with you. Your support to J and to us is much appreciated. In these times of gloom, you have all shone and have shown how a care home should be.

Sorry I am unable to write properly but my thanks are none the less sincere.  Just a note of thanks for the birthday gift you so kindly all gave me - such a surprise - nice surprise. Thank you all.  Sorry I can't write properly since  my last stroke.

Emergency visit on a very sensitive incident.  Staff were really hepful, friendly and caringAll info provided as required.  PLUS tea and coffee - thank you.

Just to say thank you to you and your staff for making me feel so welcome at your lovely open day on Friday.  I could see how much the residents enjoyed the day.  Hope you all enjoyed the cake.

Please convey to all the staff at Edgehill who arranged and helped with the 'open day' last Friday our thanks for all they did to make it the enjoyable time that it was.  Its much appreciated.

To Rosie, Giselle and all the staff - I would like to thank you all for the love and care and attention given to my M.  I really appreciate it and I am sure M does too.

Dear Tammy, Lauren and all staff, including kitchen and cleaning staff.  We would like to thank you all very sincerely for your care of J over the past 15 months at Waterloo.  Everyone has treated J and us with much care and concern.  We couldn't have asked for more.  Although J passed away somewhat suddenly last Wednesday, it was a priviledge to be able to be with him right through to the very end of his life.  Help was on hand if needed, but we were given privacy and J was treated with love, kindness and sensitivity.

To Theresa and staff - thank you for all your support with mum in the time that she stayed with you. A special thank you to Julie who made things a lot easier for mum and me while she was there.

Thank you so much for everything you did for mum.  The caring was just amazing right from the start to the end.  Thank you for being there with her at the end.  It means so much to know she was not alone.

My partner has been here for just over a month so far and has been treated with the utmost respect and care.  The staff are friendly and very professional.  Eash visit we are offered tea and biscuits.  The home is very clean and the staff observe hygiene rules at all times.

Thank you very much for all the care you have given to B.

Thank you so much for having me. Volunteering with you has been amazing and I'll really miss seeing all of you.  It was really lovely to meet you all, both staff and residents.  Thank you for the opportunity to get to know such unique, wonderful people.

I am a paramedic working with South West Ambulance Service and wish to draw your attention to some excellent care I witnessed whilst attending a call at Edgehill home on the morning of 14 June. We were called to attend a lovely lady who we believed may be approaching the end of her life.  We were greeted by Dianna and Sammy who were professional yet compassionate and demonstrated great care and attention to the lady's needs. I was impressed by their obvious fondness for their residentThey knew all about her, her needs, medical issues and what was 'normal for her'.  We so often visit care homes where I am horrified by the lack of care, where staff state they don't know someone well, despite having cared for them for months, if not years.  Staff like this don't come along very often.  In this day and age where people are so quick to complain, I felt it important to highlight the great care your staff are demonstrating. Believe me, it is not a common occurrence and this is the first time I have felt compelled to write to someone to compliment their staff.  I hope you pass on my thanks. They were excellent and made what could have been a distressing job much easier to deal with to the benefit of the resident.

The dedicated hands-on manager and her hard-working team are caring and compassionate.  Residents' personal needs are well catered for and their home is always clean and tidy.  I have seen a good selection of meals served with individual food preferences and times taken into account.  Residents are able to participate, if they wish, in many of the arranged activities, seasonal events and birthday parties.  Mum especially loves the regular live music sessions, being taken out in the minibus for trips, eg garden centre, the seaside for ice cream, and cake in the forest, animal farm.  Other  residents enjoy art and craft making, memory games, gardening.  Family and friends are encouraged to visit any timeIt is comforting to know and see that my mum is now safe happy and well looked after.
