Gorseway Nursing Home

Now under new ownership, Gorseway Nursing Home is located within the village-style community of Gorseway Park, set within four acres of secluded and landscaped gardens on Hayling Island.

Gorseway Nursing Home is a purpose-built, two-story care home offering single and double rooms with en-suite facilities, spacious lounges, well-appointed dining rooms and life-skills kitchens, with quiet areas for rest and relaxation.

In addition to delivering high quality affordable nursing care, Gorseway offers care to people living with dementia in a specialised Memory Lane Community - an environment specifically designed to help people with memory and orientation problems.

The home is finished and furnished to a high standard, offering a homely, first-class environment with plentiful landscaped gardens and a lake with a water feature and Koi carp. The experienced team are passionate about providing quality care and specialist 24 hour nursing that is ideal for those who no longer wish or are unable to manage at home. As with all our nursing and care homes, staff empower residents to regain independence, choice and freedom in their lives in a safe and comfortable setting.

The Memory-Lane Community specialises in innovative dementia care to enable every resident to thrive in an environment designed to stimulate and enrich their lives whilst giving families peace of mind and security.  The secure memory lane garden features colourful scented flowers, tactile vegetation and a vegetable plot that is a feast for all of the senses.

The home has its own minibus which takes residents for local days out including shopping trips, picnics or simply just to admire our beautiful island coastline. Residents also enjoy a range of entertainers who visit our home, from vocalists to theatre companies, and we have a good rapport with the local schools who visit often.

Care, activities and food are all major focuses at our home. It is important that each of these services are tailored to the individual needs and preferences of residents, which is why we employ a wonderful team of professionals who can deliver support using a warm and person-centred approach.
