Spring at Maumbury

As is tradition now at the Cheriton Care Centre, the Lambs visited us again to spread their seasonal cheer and they did bring lots of smiles, cuddles and fun to the home. There were some cheeky jokes of ‘mint sauce’ and a certain ‘hot pot’, but in all honesty we were all sad when they had to leave.

Residents continue to enjoy our regular bus trips. These are always very popular and Ian, the driver is always keen to take requests. Recent trips have included the coast route, Portland Bill and Bulbarrow as well the Piddlevalley. We also continue to enjoy visits from our regular musical entertainers.

We have weekly visits in both homes by a range of different musicians ranging from an acoustic guitarist, pianist, organ player and various singers. Singing can be very therapeutic and also a great tool for reminiscence too.
