Nursing care in our Care Homes located in Dorset and Wiltshire

As well as providing 24-hour nursing care services, we aim to make our nursing care centres something of a home-from-home. We believe that happiness, comfort and dignity will not only improve your quality of life while in our care, but could make you feel better in yourself. Whether your stay in an Agincare nursing care home is long-term or just temporary, we help you feel right at home.

Our staff always see the person, not the condition, and provide care without prejudice that empathises with our service users and his or her feelings and needs. We strive always to ensure that our nursing care is based on sound clinical practice and good care planning, that has at its core real concern for the individual. If you have a condition that requires frequent, specialised nursing care, our nursing care homes offer the 24-hour personal support and accommodation of a residential home, plus the benefit of specialist nursing care.

What to expect at an Agincare nursing care home

  • Qualified registered nurses
  • 24-hour expert nursing care
  • Well presented, comfortable accommodation
  • A full activities programme
  • A freshly-prepared, nutritionally balanced menu
  • Laundry and cleaning services
  • Long and short-term nursing care options
  • Nursing care for those funded by Local Authorities, private funding and NHS continuing care

Some of our care homes provide specialist nursing care and facilities for specific conditions, such as dementia, Huntington’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. We can also provide nursing care for people who have had a stroke and for those who require post-operative, convalescent or palliative care.

Individual nursing care

Our person-centred nursing care approach means that you will be respected as an individual and treated with dignity. All our residents have their own personal care plan, which recognises their individual needs and wishes. The personal care plan also documents all aspects of medical care you need and ensures consistency and continuity of nursing care.

The cost of care

Prices vary depending on the type of care and accommodation you need, and the duration of your stay. Nursing care homes generally charge higher fees than non nursing care homes because they offer specialist nursing care by qualified nurses. There are, however, contributions from the NHS available towards the cost of nursing care to those who qualify.

Our prices include:

• 24-hour nursing care • private bedrooms • utility bills • council tax • laundry and cleaning services • bed linen and towels
