Care Worker Training

Before you are placed with your first Agincare client you would have completed our own in house training course. Our training course has been designed to ensure that all of our care workers have an excellent understanding of what a care workers role at Agincare is about and what is expected of you on a day-to-day basis.

With over 60 years care experience between them, our training department will lead you through a number of classroom sessions and practical activities designed specifically to give you the skills and knowledge to ensure that you are happy and confident in your role. When you complete our training course you will be ready for your first care placement. The topics included within the training course include: -

  • The role of the carer, your duties, responsibilities and how we deliver them in the Agincare way
  • Medication
  • Personal care
  • Moving and handling
  • Abuse and safeguarding
  • Dementia
  • Cooking and mealtimes
  • Health and safety
  • First aid
  • Continence management and other healthcare procedures

Care of the Dying

The training course has been designed to make sure that every one gets involved and has the opportunity to ask as many questions as they need to. Our training team are on hand in breaks and at lunchtimes to answer any questions and to provide one-to-one support.

Agincare Training Portal

Agincare have developed a training portal to ensure that all carers are able to access to all of the mandatory training required to be up-to-date every year.
